Who is this for?
Our 1:1 tutoring is designed for students aged 6–16 who need support to catch up, keep up, or get ahead in English and Maths. We work with a wide range of learners, including students with Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, learning difficulties, or those simply needing extra confidence and support at school.
What happens in a session?
Every session is personalised to your child’s individual needs, goals, and learning style. Sessions follow a structured format with a variety of short, engaging activities designed to build skills, maintain focus, and keep learning enjoyable. We target areas such as reading, spelling, writing, comprehension, maths, study skills, and confidence.
What results can we expect?
Many families notice improvements in confidence within the first few weeks. Over time, students often show stronger academic results, improved self-esteem, greater independence, and increased willingness to ask questions, take risks, and tackle challenging tasks. Our goal is not just better grades — it’s helping children feel capable and successful in their learning.

When parents first come to us, almost everyone assumes one-to-one is the best option. Often, it isn’t.
In a small group, kids learn from each other, push each other, and, surprisingly often, make real friends.
The progress is the same. The cost is lower. And the social side genuinely makes them want to show up.
If 2020 left a bad taste, fair enough — staring at a screen with 28 other kids on mute is no one’s idea of learning. Our group sessions are tiny (max 6 students), interactive, gamified, and structured so no one has time to drift off. Movement breaks. Real-time feedback. Actual fun.
It works because…
Kids learn faster when they see their friends getting it too
A small group keeps everyone accountable in a way 1:1 sometimes can’t
Most students stay on for a second (and third, even fourth) term, which tells you everything
Emily has been fantastic at tutoring my child. My daughter loves her weekly session for maths. In less than one term, my daughters confidence has really grown, and she has made great improvement.
I'd definitely recommend Emily at Wise Owl.

- Kyle & Sharee Brynjolfson, Parents
I have found the tuition to be extremely helpful, with trained teachers, who know exactly what to teach after their in depth assessment.
Emily is very helpful, knowledgeable and great with kids, making learning fun.

- Helen Whitfield Brown, Mum
Wise Owl Education, and particularly our tutor Emily, provided an exceptional educational experience for my child. Emily combined her vast knowledge with patience and tailored teaching techniques, resulting in a notable boost in my child's confidence and performance. Her passion and commitment were evident in every session, making learning both effective and enjoyable.
I can't recommend Emily and Wise Owl Education highly enough for any parent seeking outstanding tutoring services.

- David Brown, Dad
Emily genuinely cares so much for her students. My daughter always leaves her tutoring so happy and proud of what she’s worked on.
Emily creates an environment for the students that is friendly and fun, so they always seem engaged and eager to go back.
I’m so grateful my daughter works with Emily.
