Tutoring Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy

1. Tutoring Fees

The standard tutoring fee is $120.00 per hour. The Premium Tutoring Package is $160.00 per week.

Additional Services:

• Short written progress update: $100.00 (10-day turnaround).
• Comprehensive report: $250.00, plus any assessment time at $200.00/hr.
• Individual learning plan: $299.00.

Assessments, reports, and learning plans are included in the Premium Tutoring Package.

2. Cancellations and Non-Attendance

The time booked for your lesson is reserved exclusively for your child. No other student can be scheduled in that time.

A cancellation fee of $120.00 (or $160.00 for Premium Package students) applies for non-attendance, including illness, pupil-free days, and public holidays during term time.

If Wise Owl Education cancels a lesson and a replacement cannot be arranged, no charge applies. A credit of $120.00 will be issued accordingly.

3. Booking and Payment Terms

Bookings are made in ten-week blocks in line with the WA public school calendar. Lessons are invoiced two weeks in advance with payment required within five (5) days of the invoice date. Minimum booking period: 10 weeks.

4. Termination of Services

This agreement remains valid until you notify Wise Owl Education that you no longer require tutoring services.

Notification must be received before or at your final lesson of the term. Failure to do so may incur a cancellation fee up to $250.00.

5. Billing Policy

Wise Owl Education follows the WA State School Term Timetable, except for Week One of Term 1. Payments must be made promptly. Unpaid invoices may be referred to a debt collection agency. Missed lessons are not credited or carried forward.

6. Cancellation Policy (Detailed)

If a lesson is missed, home practice materials can be provided within 24 hours of the missed lesson. Students arriving late will only receive the remainder of their session time. Parents must notify Wise Owl Education of any pupil-free days. Missed lessons still require payment unless properly cancelled.

In cases of prolonged illness (two or more consecutive lessons) with a doctor’s certificate, catch-up lessons may be arranged during school hours only, depending on availability. No catch-ups are available during school holidays.

7. Other Conditions

Meetings with teachers or parents may be billed at $120/hour plus travel, if applicable. Email or phone correspondence with teachers or parents is included in the Premium Tutoring Package.

Families taking holidays during term time must continue payment to retain their child’s tutoring place. Practice packages can be requested with two weeks’ notice. Consistent attendance is expected for student progress.

Refund Policy – A. Digital Products

All digital products are delivered electronically upon confirmation of payment. Digital products are non-tangible and cannot be returned or exchanged once downloaded or delivered.

Delivery occurs immediately after payment unless otherwise stated. Customers are responsible for ensuring their device can access the product.

No refunds or cancellations once the product is delivered. For technical issues, contact orders@wiseowleducation.com.au within 7 days. Refunds may only be considered for duplicate transactions or verified technical faults, at our discretion.

Refund Policy – B. Tutoring Refunds

No refunds apply for lessons already conducted. Learning outcomes depend on both tutor support and student engagement. If a tutor is unavailable and the lesson must be cancelled, a credit will be applied as outlined above.
